This Cookie Policy explains how Dr Joseph Ogaga, trading as Teron Advisory (“we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you use our Service. This policy complies with the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and UK GDPR.

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, provide information to site owners, and improve user experience.

We also use related technologies such as local storage and session storage, which function similarly but are stored differently in your browser.

2. How We Use Cookies

We use a minimal set of cookies, focused on essential functionality. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking cookies. Our approach is privacy-first: we only set cookies that are strictly necessary or that you have consented to.

3. Essential Cookies

These cookies are strictly necessary for the Service to function. They do not require your consent under PECR. Blocking them may impair your experience.

4. Functional Cookies

These cookies remember your preferences and settings to provide a personalised experience.

cv_* (preference keys)Interface preferences — session list sorting and grouping, pane layout, pinned sessions, batch filters, and similar display settings. These contain no patient data.Persistent (localStorage)

5. Analytics Cookies

We do not currently use any analytics cookies. If we introduce analytics in future, we will first add a consent mechanism and update this policy.

If we implement analytics, we will use a privacy-focused solution (such as Plausible or Vercel Analytics) that:

  • Does not track individual users across websites
  • Does not use persistent identifiers
  • Processes data in the EU/UK
  • Does not share data with third parties for advertising

You can opt out of analytics cookies at any time via the cookie consent banner or by contacting us.

6. Local Storage & Session Storage

In addition to cookies, we use browser local storage, session storage, and IndexedDB for:

  • Draft recordings and transcripts (IndexedDB) — while you record or upload, audio segments and in-progress transcripts are saved on your device so an unexpected browser crash or dropped connection does not lose your dictation. Audio is removed from your device once transcription completes; drafts of failed jobs are kept locally so they can be retried
  • Storing user preferences (letter format settings, layout, sorting)
  • Authentication tokens for maintaining your login session

These items remain on your device until you clear your browser data or they expire naturally. Locally stored drafts never leave your device except to be transcribed as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. How to Manage Cookies

You can control and manage cookies in several ways:

Cookie Notice Banner

Because CliniVoice AI only uses strictly necessary cookies and storage (which are exempt from the consent requirement under PECR regulation 6(4)), the banner you see on first visit is an information notice rather than a consent request — there are no non-essential cookies to accept or reject. If we ever introduce non-essential cookies, we will replace it with a genuine accept/reject consent banner first.

Browser Settings

Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies or delete existing cookies. Instructions vary by browser:

  • Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies
  • Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies
  • Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings > Cookies and Site Permissions

Note: Blocking essential cookies may prevent CliniVoice AI from functioning correctly, particularly authentication and session management.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. If we introduce new categories of cookies, we will seek your consent where required.

9. Contact

If you have questions about our use of cookies, please contact:
